

But, that larger software seems problematic in other ways. I come at this topic more from the affected antenna-tv user. Maybe an older version (the antenna tv interface is much better like before recent updates broke anything). That network-less software seems to be minimal and less problematic. Tell the initial setup that you'll connect to the internet later (but, never do that). If you do that, disconnect from the internet so you don't get any further updates which could break your tv further. My point being: I think you're right to use an external streaming stick. You never know what's going on with Roku's problems because there's never any answers. This process can help resolve some playback issues in channels in some Someone recently said their Roku TV had been doing this, and finally went into the famous Roku Recovery loop (you can't get out of). Once your device loads up again, try installing the channel once more.

The only additional recommendation I can make would be to try removing the channel from the Roku home screen, then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. They develop and determine the features and functionality within their channels, including mechanisms that may impact continuous streaming ability, etc.

Channels (apps) on the Roku platform are built and maintained by each channel/service provider themselves. Unfortunately, if you've already disabled the Roku system provided features that may limit continuous playback (bandwidth saver), and this behavior is occurring within a channel that has implemented a similar feature, there isn't much additional advice we can offer other than to follow up with the channel provider for more help with the features and functionality of their channel.
